Episode 30: Love Sober with Kate Baily
Erin talks with Kate Baily, cofounder of the LOVE SOBER community and cohost of the LOVE SOBER podcast. Kate’s story of recovery began when she stopped wondering if her drinking was “bad enough,” and joined in an online sober women’s community, Soberistas.
Kate's “bad enough” question is one many women in our community struggle with as they feel stuck in the gray area of drinking - that space in between the extremes of rock bottom and every-now-and-again drinking. In that gray area, the consequences of our drinking behavior is often intimate and known only to us.
Kate also shares about the trauma and self harm she experienced as a young teenager in a devout religious community and how she used Buddhist principles and practices to help her heal. Erin and Kate also talk about parenting in sobriety.
